Applications of Bruntab Smart Electricity Meters

Some customers, such as commercial and office complexes and villa communities, have an initial demand and do not have a segregated electricity meter. In some other cases, the electricity for complexes is supplied by CHP. In all these cases, with Bruntab's smart electricity segmentation system, it is possible to install a sub-electricity meter to measure the consumption of each unit and issue smart sub-electricity bills for the units.

In this regard, considering the advancement of smart bill segmentation technology, it is possible to obtain a general demand instead of using dedicated electricity meters for each unit. This type of electricity distribution (demand-based electricity distribution) is particularly reasonable and cost-effective for projects with a high number of units. Using one or two general demands for the building's input and then using smart sub-electric meters along with the related software system significantly helps reduce both apparent and hidden project costs, ultimately leading to optimal consumption for each user and environmental preservation.

An electricity meter is a device that measures the amount of electrical energy and indicates the consumption in kilowatt-hours (joules). Electricity meters are divided into two models: mechanical (analog) and digital, and into three categories: single-phase, three-phase demand-based, and three-phase non-demand-based.

A sub-electric meter is a product that is installed after the main electricity meter and is used to monitor and control the electricity consumption of residential, commercial, and office units. After installing this meter, each unit can receive its electricity bill separately and pay according to its consumption.

Measuring Electricity Consumption with Bruntab Sub-Meters

In buildings that receive initial electricity as demand and do not have a segregated electricity meter, there is a need to install and set up sub-electric meters. Bruntab's electricity meters are available in two models: single-phase and three-phase, occupying very little space. Bruntab's single-phase electricity meters require space equivalent to a miniature switch and are approximately thirteen times smaller than conventional meters. Three-phase electricity meters are also four times larger than miniature single-phase meters.

Bruntab's sub-electric meters have pulse and Modbus outputs, allowing them to be connected to data reading devices and ultimately sending the data via LAN or SIM card to Bruntab's advanced monitoring and billing software. Additionally, in buildings with CHP where electricity is generated on-site using city gas, the use of three-phase and single-phase electricity meters for each unit is possible.

The use of these products is such that we install electricity meters with data output to measure energy consumption at the main line of each unit. Then, the data reading device reads the electricity meters, and finally, all information is sent to Bruntab's advanced web-based software, which allows for real-time viewing of information and reports from previous months and years. Furthermore, in the software, after entering the electricity tariff with the related incremental steps, it is possible to issue a sub-bill for each unit.

Generally, electricity segmentation in office, commercial, or industrial buildings is applicable with central demand. Another application of installing smart electricity meters is the ability to monitor and optimize energy consumption in production, industrial, and office units.
